Anna-Luella Zahner was born in Berlin. She studied Ballet at the Académie Besso of Toulouse and Modern Dance at The Ailey School and Movement Research in New York City. In 2012, she received a BA in Fine Arts and Anthropology from Hunter College of the City University of New York.

As a performer she has worked for choreographers such as Kenji Ouellet (DE/CN), Melinda Ring (US) and Krystina Lhotakova/Ladislav Soukup (LaS Company)(CZ) and presented her own video works and performances at venues such as tanzhaus nrw and in several exhibitions and film festivals.

After assisting and managing projects of various choreographers in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia such as Ben J. Riepe and MOUVOIR, she worked as a dramaturg for the FFT Düsseldorf for two seasons. After working for Theatre in Trier as a dramaturg and company manager for the Trier Ballet, she is currently studying "Szenische Forschung" at the Ruhr Uni Bochum and writes, translates and is incharge of PR for Reut Shemesh.
